    Hi,

you have to be carefull with kernel which is included?!

I have the same machine with 7.3 running for about 2 months. There is a
bug in the tcp/ip stack. So you have to download a newer version. Using
the kernel included the tcp/ip stack crashes every 2-3 days and the
    machine has to be rebooted...

    Regards
    Sascha

    Wise choice.

Download and burn the iso images from ftp.suse.com or a complete mirror
    that includes the SPARC isos.

    I've installed SuSE 7.1 on a Sparcstation 5 with a 1xCDROM and 128M...
no problems. Limited to 256 colors (8bit) and I used IceWM instead of
KDE (used an import utility to move the KDE menus to IceWM) for speed.
