Subject: [suse-sparc] Scannerusage on SUN Ultra (64 Bit)

    Hi all / to whom it might concern,
    with a lot of help from the friendly guys from the sane team I tracked down
    an issue with scanning on SUN Ultra 64 bit systems.
    Whoever wants to attach a SCSI-scanner to any of those systems will
    definitively fail.

    As a workaround: take the attachement, take the sane sources from the SuSE
    8.1 PC distribution (this is the one I tested,
    patch sane-backends-1.8/sanei/sanei_scsi.c,

    rebuild your rpm (or however you would like to do it) and here you go!
