Subject: Fwd: Re: [suse-sparc] sparc 5/170

yesterday i tried suse 7.3 on my sparc 5/170/32 mb. and it worked!! i was able to
partition my disks, the bootloader was written, the prom bootdevice was modified.
incredible. the beast booted and worked. now i will try to find more memory.
i know about the 5/170 but i would like to have this thing as my personal workstation
at home for writing and surfing. nothing else.
i am deeply regret that suse has canceled sparc linux, although i understand this step
(because developing and managing is really expensive). on the other side there are many
folks who would like to give a new life to good old things.
greetings
