Holy obscurity, I had completely forgotten about this mailing list.
My first forays into sparc linux were the Suse 7.3 distro. But as time
wore on and there were no updates, I found myself less and less
enthused.
Then I found Gentoo.
Gentoo is definitely active in the sparc sense. Not so much as the x86,
of course, but what is, really?
My Ultra-2 has a new life running the 2005 build of Gentoo, and it's
been
up and stable for ages. In fact, I forget that it's blindly connected
to
the internet serving up mail and web until my primary workstation goes
down
and I have to switch over to that console temporarily.
Okay, enough prosthelytizing. Heh.
