Subject: [taskjuggler-devel] Questions: TaskJuggler 2.0

Hello.

I just found your website yesterday. I liked what I saw, especially the
graphical interface snapshots.

Where I am confused is, my interpretation of the manual seems that I am
going to do alot of coding. I am looking for software that project
definitions, specifications, etc. are entered via the graphical interface.
I didn't find any reference to the usage of the graphical interface nor
whether there are any pre-defined reports, etc. I can't use any software
where my customers have to be taught to code in order to enter their data.

The other question is about installation. It seems like it is not an
easy-install. I am using a web host and I'm not sure whether I am able to
set this software up or if the web host would get involved if it seems
time-consuming on their part.

FYI - Regarding the manual topic, "TaskJuggler on the Web", the mailing list
reference and the IRC channel, #taskjuggler, neither were found.

My goal is to find the right Project Management web-based software that can
track many projects for my various clients. The software would need to
track time and costs throughout the project. I need to assign a labor cost
(e.g. wage rate per hour) to each person assigned to each of their projects
and be able to schedule this labor and associated equipment needed for
various projects for a given client, and be able to see if the labor or
equipment is overallocated at any given time. I need to see at any given
time, the comparison of the projected labor and equipment time and cost to
the actual budgeted values.

I'd prefer to install the software once and create the various client
accounts on that software, while keeping each client invisible to any other
client.

Can you shed light on my concerns, please?

Where applicable, I'd like to communicate with the developer on software
improvement when ideas arise for the software I finally select for this
'project'.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.
