I didn't work out how to download the svn snapshot (though I just checked again and now see there is a snapshot available on the downloads page... oh well). Anyway, what I did was to manually apply the relevant patch from the commit messages forum.
And that seems to have fixed the problem. I've been running TaskJugglerUI all morning, rescheduling many times (that debug output has appeared 13 times so far) and no crashes. Looks like it's fixed. Thanks very much!
