This is this pesky backtrace I've seen a few times now. Unfortunately, I still have no clue why this happens. The involved code looks all good, valgrind is happy, but I still get crashes when optimizing the code. But it's not 100% reproduceable either. So far only SUSE Linux 10.0 on x86 seems to be affected. Everything points to a compiler bug, but I need more proof before I can talk to the GCC guys.
