All project data needs to be entered in at least one text file. This describes
the project using the syntax described in the manual. This file(s) need to be
processed by taskjuggler. You need to pass the files to the taskjuggler
program on the command line like this:

taskjuggler foo.tjp

whereas foo.tjp is the name of your text file. TaskJuggler will then create
output files according to the report definitions you have put in the project
file. Those output files can either be HTML files (viewed with your favorit
browser) or XML files. The xml files can be processed by other programs again
to convert them in human readable formats. To create a GANTT chart from an
XML file you need to pass the XML file to tjx2gantt.

tjx2gantt foo.tjx

This will create an encapsulated postscript file. This file can be viewed with
many browsers or used in other programs such as OpenOffice.org.

TaskJuggler is not a click&start program. It has a steeper learning curve than
for example MS Project. In return you will get a much more powerful program.
