Qt is stable, but gets new features over time. We have used some features that
were added with Qt 3.1.

Feel free to write a simular project management software in Java if you like.
But don't expect me to write Java code. TaskJuggler is a C++/Qt application
and this will not change in the foreseeable future.

TaskJuggler was written in a very modular fashion. Option 1 should be possible
and previous post to this list indicate that there is some interest in that.
So far I haven't seen any code but maybe someone else on this list knows
more.
