[Machinery] Errors with exporting Machinery inspects to kiwi for RHEL 7.4

I have a customer that is trying to inspect a RHEL 7.4 (Maipo) system with Machinery on SLES 12 SP3. The inspection goes well. When they try to do a machinery export-kiwi 10.212.46.43 --kiwi-dir rhel7-sas they get the following error :
Export is not possible because the operating system 'Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 (Maipo) (x86_64)' is not supported.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Is this by design?
