To be able to run an "Upgrade" or "Migration" one has to remove the registration key. From the many tries I have done over the past days if the environment has a SLES12 or SLES15 key valid then it "calls home" and home says "sorry don't know what your on about."
If you disable network to stop the call home, then you get "an internal error".<br>
<br>
So SUSE wise people, is it correct that the key must be removed ?<br>

In my case with the key removed then you do move into the update/migration space.. My next stopper was the SDK, see attached png. As all my machine have the SDK so an issue. Another pnc show the selection of what modules one can use. I'm sure when the Docu
is available each will be describe, I ticked a few to see what happened. I did get an update built, attached, but on the re-ipl it gave a flashing screen and warnings about VMware ;o)<br>

SUSE if you do have a little Docu, in Beta form, it would be interesting to read about YOUR thought on how UPdate/migration could be tried with Beta3 that would be grand.<br>

as the words say, it's a big bumpy but along this track you do get into upgrade mode... Seems if the system knows it's registered it pop's off home...<br>

A new install ran Okay.<br>

I tried an offline migration using the installer and package:<br>

Finds the old version Okay then pops off to the SCC and you then get a "No migration product found". I tried with out a network and then I get an internal error.<br>

Need to stop it asking home about an update.... <br>

With Beta 3, we are still not in an ideal state for the support of the different migration scenarios from SLE 12 to SLE 15. You can try it but it is not expected to be smooth! Nevertheless do not hesitate to share your findings if you face any issues, but keep
in mind that we are working on it.</p>
