An update that has 13 recommended fixes can now be
installed. It includes 11 new package versions.
Description:
This collective update for SUSE Manager 1.7 provides
enhancements and new features:
* SSH Server Push
* Add a script for automated user creation from LDAP
* Support recovery of failed schema upgrades
* Add new tool 'mgr-create-bootstrap-repo' to create
bootstrap repositories with current package versions
* Sync cobbler created tftpboot content to specified
proxies.
Additionally, the following issues have been fixed:
cobbler, koan:
* Fix restart of newly created para-virtualized Xen
systems
* Fix installation of full-virtualized Xen systems
* Add python-urlgrabber to the list of required
packages.
spacecmd:
* Various minor fixes.
spacewalk-backend:
* Write better error message if the GPG key is not
imported
* Show correct size for old RPMs larger than 2 GiB
* Do not read RPM into memory before transferring to
client
* If the database host is localhost, use Unix sockets
in backend
* Use FQDN in reposync error emails
* Do not change the channels on future actions request.
spacewalk-backend-libs:
* Add support to V4 RSA/SHA1 signature
* Fix Unicode encoding.
spacewalk-branding:
* Add missing descriptions for SUSE-only taskomatic
jobs.
spacewalk-client-tools:
* Fix CPU type for ppc64.
spacewalk-java:
* Fix "Can't do in-place edit" error message during
registration
* Make duplicate-hostname search case-insensitive
* Use the server timezone as the default for the first
user
* Do not create kickstart files for SUSE distributions
* Generate metadata always if not explicitly rejected
* Completed kickstarts still show up on 'currently
kickstarting' list
* Do not ignore the exit code for external programs
* Do not silence caught exceptions
* Fix WebUI's errata sync
* Only package build times should be converted to GMT
* Fix ISE when doing SP migration of SLE 11 SP1 SMT

* Proper quoting for the zero length test.
spacewalk-web:
* Fix Oracle-specific outer join syntax, use of
PE.evr.*, and missing joins
* Display package list on page history/event.pxt.
susemanager:
* Make mgr-ncc-sync only sync vendor channels that have
URLs
* Test content of directory given with --from-dir
* Implement listing by products
* Fix mgr-register to not crash if product release is
empty.
susemanager-schema:
* Quote password passed to sqlplus to allow the use of
special characters.
How to apply this update:
1. Log in as root user to the SUSE Manager server. 2. Stop
the Spacewalk service: spacewalk-service stop 3. Apply
the patch using either zypper patch or YaST Online Update.
4. Upgrade the database schema with
spacewalk-schema-upgrade. 5. Start the Spacewalk service:
spacewalk-service start
