Hi all

I am testing SLES11-SP3 Beta1 on:
- HP Proliant DL385-G5 attached to SAN EMC VMAx, QLogic HP AE311 4GB HBA
- HP Proliant BL465c-G7 AMD Opteron 6172 12 Core, FCoE NC551i Emulex CNA attached to SAN E MC VMax
- HP Proliant BL465c-Gen8 AMD Opteron 6220 3GHZ 16Core, FCoE 554FLB Emluex Flex LOM CNA attached to SAN E MC VMAx

I do install all test servers using autoyast with the autoinst.xml I use for SLES11-SP2 except the line add-ons, where I had the patch repository for SLES11-SP2 defined. This line I removed.

Installation runs OK, even suse-Register is working against our internal SMT:
| 0852eb6f6f304ae8a22adc4327c82cb5 | h05cnh | 2013-02-21 17:19:22 | | SUSE_SLES 11.3 x86_64

Kernel module lpfc has been updated to version: 0:8.3.7.7.1p (great!) from version 0:8.3.5.48.3p on SLES11-SP2
Kernel module qla2xxx has been updated to version: 8.04.00.13.11.3-k, from version 8.03.07.07-k on SLES11-SP2

LVM2 and multipath-tools do work smoothly, pvcreate, vgcreate, lvcreate, lvresize, lvremove, vgremove & pvremove
Same lvm.conf filter and type settings as on SLES11-SP2

On all HW installations I could observe the following message when booting after installation
"exit status of parent of /usr/sbin/mcelog: 1 failed"

CPU is unsupported
startproc: exit status of parent of /usr/sbin/mcelog: 1 failed
<notice -- Feb 19 17:31:57.869763000> 'mcelog start' exits with status 7

I will dig a bit deeper into it. Maybe this is caused because the package cmpi-pywbem-power-management is not installed beside the packages
Cpupower and slessp1-cpupower.

Best regards
