Dear All,

We are happy to announce that after the final validation and acceptance
phase we have a Goldmaster for

        SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 Service Pack 2
        SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 12 Service Pack 2
	SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability Extension 12 Service Pack 2
	SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 12 Service Pack 2
  	SUSE Linux Enterprise Workstation Extension 12 Service Pack 2


We made one slight change since GMC2, but that has no impact on installed
systems:
  The default for "self-update of yast2 when installation is started" has been
  set to "off". This is equivalent to add "self_update=0" as boot option in
  GMC2.
Besides that, no changes were done, you can continue to use GMC2.

The correct images are the one with "GMC3" in the name for Desktop and Server,
and "GMC2" in all other products.
The Goldmaster will only differentiate in the name of the images (replace GMC3
with GM), the SHA256SUM of the images will stay the same.

Dear all,

Thanks for your feedback for the GMC images. Using this as well as the results
of our internal testing, we decided to create a GMC 2 with some small changes
compared to GMC.

Besides some more cosmetic changes, the main functional changes are in the
kernel.


Please have a look at the attached changelog snippet to see details about what
has changed.


The ISO images are available at:
https://www.suse.com/support/beta-program/secure/beta-sle.html#download

We offer 3 DVD ISOs: DVD1 contains the binaries, the second
DVD the sources and the third DVD the debuginfo packages.
The final product will not contain the debuginfo packages on the media.

Please verify the sha256sum of the ISO using the SHA256SUMS file, which can
be found in the same directory on the download servers.

as information for all who tried to download the ISOs in the last hours:

We see the distribution to the various mirrors for download being slow atm.
This  might be caused by preparing the official download mirrors and the
repositories (which wil get activated with the FCS).

If you have already downloaded GMC2, you can safely continue to use them -
the only change compared to GMC3 is the default behavior mentioned - which
is one file in the isos.
The rest is binary identical.

We are sorry for the delay.

Thanks for the update. 
Do you have an estimate when SLES12 SP2 is officially announced?
I have already asked some third party vendors how their products will be certified with sles12, but they told me they cannot give any answers until SUSE announces SLES12 SP2 officially.

We are planning to announce SLE 12 SP2 on November 8th.
This will also the day when the official download pages will go live.
The actual time of day depends on the timezone you are in ;)
