I was able to install (via DVD) SLES 12 Beta 7 with a LUN as the only HD on the server and boot from it. I enabled multipath when it prompted me to during install.
However, my first attempt failed to boot with a generic message like "something failed during installation" I believe what caused the problem is that in partitioning screen I clicked on advanced and created a new partition table (which deleted the proposed partitions) then I manually created my own partitions and for some reason the installer didn't actually create the partitions or something went wrong during creation process.
Also, I have installed Beta 7 via pxe (uefi), but not on a server connected to a SAN.
