Hello Darren,

If creating the /tmp partition in the post install script there might be leftover files from the installation in the /tmp directory on the ROOT partition. (No real problem but not nice anyway)

Thus it would be safer to create the tmpfs partition together with all other partitions before installing any files/rpms. As far as I know there is no script that runs right after yast’s partitioning and before installing.

Anyway the script is a good workaround. Thank you

Just speculating...

Wouldn't it be easier to setup the /tmp tmpfs thing in a 'post install' autoyast script?

forgive my crude example:
echo "tmpfs /tmp tmpfs rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,mode=755 0 0" >> /etc/fstab

Just a thought..

For the tmpfs issue it makes no difference how the xml file is created.
I manually installed sles12 beta9 and configured /tmp as tmpfs.
This works fine.
Then I called yast2 --ncurses clone_system
The resulting xml file does not contain any tmpfs entry.

What I actually want to achieve: I want the xml "example" file for a tmpfs partition. Maybe someone can post an autoyast.xml extract with a tmpfs partition. I was unable to find a tmpfs example in the documentation.
