Many Thanks Kai, good news indeed. I'll be running VMware Workstation 10-0-3 for the SLE 12 RC1 update; this became available 1st July so maybe that too has good relations with SLE 12.

If on a VMware hypervisor the installation will add the open-vm-tools.

If the tools are installed they start automatically.

These are (now) fully L3 supported by SUSE in cooperation with VMware.
