Many Thanks for the good words Allen,

I'd would have liked to stay with VMware but it seems they don't support an update from SLE11 to SLE12 and its Updates that we like to use to check out our SAG APPs run on a new level. This has been Okay for a number of years but with SLE11 to SLE12 it's giving issues. I have given the problem to a couple of our lady work students to think "out of the box" over the weekend with an evening of free Germany beer for a working answer. I do have some thoughts myself as to why the Update fails and a quick and dirty this afternoon will made my Friday evening chat and beer with friends ( Stammtisch) better than I felt this morning.

We do also run zLinux, it's more the bread and butter platform, and I use the x86_64 Linux to check the APPs without running up to much in IFL / CPU costs.

You've pretty much eliminated everything but Hyper-V, then.
>From my testing:
VMware vSphere 5.5.x - Works great
Citrix XenServer - only works fully virtualized - will NOT work paravirtualized.
VirtualBox - Works great.

Grand Sunny Friday,

Has anyone on the Beta run any SLE12-Beta work using Microsofts "Hyper-V Server 2012 R2". I have used this a year or three back but that was SLE10. I need to find a new hypervisor that can run SLE12-Beta and KVM or Xen are not in the frame. Any feedback +ve or -ve very welcome.
... and VMware is also not in the frame, sad after 12 good years.
