Very good news Uwe, I don’t see where the issues are. I'm working this weekend to see where the issues are.  With the issues with virtual environments at the moment I would have thought support for SLE 11 to SLE 12 would be very much in their interest. It would be grand to see what they have found out.

At least VMware does not recommend it, from what I know. This week I
triggered a discussion with VMware. Currently it seems that a VMware
installation in SP3 adds X drivers which are not compatible with X in SLE 12.
It's still an ongoing discussion and VMware engineers just start to look
into it.
