I do not agree. I tried to start the network manually several times without any success on the ALT-F9 screen.
I spent now more than 6 hours without a result, so it is time now to let it be.
It is really bad that such things do pop up in a RC release and have not already been noted during beta

The network code is completely new in sle12; not only wicked itself but also
in linuxrc. And not all workarounds are back in place. You are probably just
hit by the missing 'netwait'.
