I could observe, when not booting with ipv6=0 ipv4=1 ipv4only=1, then IPV6 did autoconfigure to DHCP and no more ipv4 configuration was possible.

So there something does mix up the entire network configuration process.

hit by the missing 'netwait'.

No, as I wrote, I could not setup networking on the running system either. Just a guess: could it be a problem, that I also have an IPv4 only environment?
