[sles-beta] SLES12 RC2 No base product found error

Richard,

Sent you the log file you mentioned.  Just another bit of info.  We have 2 xml files.  One is the general stuff and one is the site specific info like networking, dns, ntp setup, etc.  These 2 files are merged with rules.xml under the profiles directory.  We have done this for years with SLES10/11.  I have found that if I merge our 2 xml files together and point to it instead of the profiles directory, all works fine.  No error.  The rules.xml file that merges is the same one used for SLES11 SP3.  So looks like it might be related to this but not sure why.  Y2log shows a yast/wfm.rb internal error.

That certainly isn't happening on my test machines with RC2

As the error message states, can you provide the logs? they might
provide some insight. Instead of the just the specific y2log, you can
always run save_y2logs to generate a nice useful tarball full of all the
logs YaST has generated upto that point in the installation
