[sles-beta] [ANNOUNCE] SLES 11 SP4 Beta4 is available

Grand Evening,

Not sure it can be changed but maybe what we want most of all, the x86_64 server iso which is still giving 404, is going to be one of the last. One could get the x86_64 SDK at 16:35 and the s390x SDK...

Would it be possible to get the server iso's down before the SDK's, I know we need both but one could do something with the server iso while waiting for the SDK ?

Server for s390x is now available, so maybe another 40 mins or so we get x86_64

Hi all
Obviously the sync of the ISO images has not finished yet.
Download SLES-11-SP4-DVD-x86_64-Beta4-DVD1.iso => 404 NOT FOUND

So one has to wait

Dear Beta participants,

we are happy to announce the forth Beta of

        SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP4.

ISO images are now available for download now. Please go to
http://www.novell.com/beta and select "View my beta page".
Here you should see all Beta's you are part of.

Note that the directory contains the images for the SDK as well as for SLES.

We offer 3 DVD ISOs: DVD1 contains the binaries, the second
DVD the sources and the third DVD the debuginfo packages.
The final product will not contain the debuginfo packages on the media.

For installation purposes you just need media 1 for your architecture.

Please verify the md5sum of the ISO using the MD5SUMS file, which can
be found in the same directory on the download servers.


With this Beta snapshot we have reached several milestones:
    o Milestone: All features are verified to work.
    o Milestone: All updated device drivers are verified and proven to be stable
    o Milestone: Legal review of SLE11-SP4 contents completed.
    o Milestone: System test completed.
    o Fix problems found during update, performance or certification tests.
    o Integrate additional security updates.
    o Continue update, performance and regression tests.
    o Continue intense stress and certification tests.

For the next Beta-Release we are targetting these actions and milestones:
    o Milestone: All certification tests completed.
    o Milestone: All documentation available (english only).
    o Milestone: All blocker bugs resolved.
    o Milestone: All security updates integrated.
    o Official partner acceptance starts.
    o Only showstopper bugs which would break certification or acceptance
      get fixed from now on.
