All users should upgrade. - The new auto-hinter code using HarfBuzz crashed for some invalid fonts. - Many fixes to better protect against malformed input. * IMPORTANT CHANGES - Full auto-hinter support of the Devanagari script. - Experimental auto-hinter support of the Telugu script. - CFF stem darkening behaviour can now be controlled at build time using the eight macros CFF_CONFIG_OPTION_DARKENING_PARAMETER_{X,Y}{1,2,3,4} . - Some fields in the `FT_Bitmap' structure have been changed from signed to unsigned type, which better reflects the actual usage. It is also an additional means to protect against malformed input. This change doesn't break the ABI; however, it might cause compiler warnings. * MISCELLANEOUS - Improvements to the auto-hinter's algorithm to recognize stems and local extrema. - Function `FT_Get_SubGlyph_Info' always returned an error even in case of success. - Version 2.5.1 introduced major bugs in the cjk part of the auto-hinter, which are now fixed. - The `FT_Sfnt_Tag' enumeration values have been changed to uppercase, e.g. `FT_SFNT_HEAD'. The lowercase variants are deprecated. This is for orthogonality with all other enumeration (and enumeration-like) values in FreeType. - `cmake' now supports builds of FreeType as an OS X framework and for iOS. - Improved project files for vc2010, introducing a property file - The documentation generator for the API reference has been updated to produce better HTML code (with proper CSS). At the same time, the documentation got a better structure. - The FT_LOAD_BITMAP_CROP flag is obsolete; it is not used by any driver. - The TrueType DELTAP[123] bytecode instructions now work in subpixel hinting mode as described in the ClearType whitepaper (i.e., for touched points in the non-subpixel direction). - Many small improvements to the internal arithmetic routines. - Rebase don-t-mark-libpng-as-required-library.patch, bugzilla-308961-cmex-workaround.patch, freetype2-subpixel.patch, freetype2-bitmap-foundry.patch and overflow.patch - Add freetype2-2.5.3-fix-pcf.patch from upstream to resolve http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?43774, "Freetype 2.5.4 does not load ungzipped PCF fonts" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated gdb (security/bugfix/feature) - Add missing patches from binutils for z13 support. [bnc #936050] - Rebase to gdb version 7.9.1: fixes PR python/18299, python/18285. - Add gdb-s390-reorder-arch.diff [bnc #936050] - Added patches for fate#318039, s390 z13 support: 0001-S390-Fix-compiler-invocation-with-compile-command.patch 0001-S390-Support-new-vector-register-sections.patch 0001-S390-Add-target-descriptions-for-vector-register-set.patch 0002-S390-Add-vector-register-support-to-gdb.patch 0003-S390-Add-vector-register-support-to-gdbserver.patch 0004-S390-Vector-register-test-case.patch 0005-S390-Name-invisible-registers-with-the-empty-string-.patch - Remove now obsolete SLE12-only patches: gdb-7.7-bnc896586.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc895831.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc891040-1.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc891040-2.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc891040-3.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc891040-4.patch, gdb-7.7-bnc891040-5.patch - Remove auto-loading non-existent /etc/gdbinit.d/gdb-heap.py from /etc/gdbinit - Add guile-devel to enable Scheme scripting support - Run ada tests also on ppc64 and s390 - Build multi-target also on aarch64 - Strip date and runtimes from gdb-testsuite contents. - Use patchlist.pl to merge with gdb-7.9-10.fc22, a rebase to FSF GDB 7.9. The GDB 7.8 features are: * Python Scripting - You can now access frame registers from Python scripts. - New attribute 'producer' for gdb.Symtab objects. * New Python-based convenience functions: - $_caller_is(name [, number_of_frames]) - $_caller_matches(regexp [, number_of_frames]) - $_any_caller_is(name [, number_of_frames]) - $_any_caller_matches(regexp [, number_of_frames]) * New commands - queue-signal signal-name-or-number Queue a signal to be delivered to the thread when it is resumed. * On resume, GDB now always passes the signal the program had stopped for to the thread the signal was sent to, even if the user changed threads before resuming. Previously GDB would often (but not always) deliver the signal to the thread that happens to be current at resume time. * Conversely, the "signal" command now consistently delivers the requested signal to the current thread. GDB now asks for confirmation if the program had stopped for a signal and the user switched threads meanwhile. * "breakpoint always-inserted" modes "off" and "auto" merged. Now, when 'breakpoint always-inserted mode' is set to "off", GDB won't remove breakpoints from the target until all threads stop, even in non-stop mode. The "auto" mode has been removed, and "off" is now the default mode. * MI changes - The -list-thread-groups command outputs an exit-code field for inferiors that have exited. - removed (upstream) gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-1of2.patch, gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-testsuite.patch, gdb-python-completer-1of2.patch, gdb-python-completer-2of2.patch and gdb-readline-6.3.5.patch - added gdb-jit-reader-multilib.patch, gdb-no-dg-extract-results-py.patch, gdb-python-gil.patch, gdb-python3-py_hash_t-32bit.patch, gdb-python3-testsuite.patch and gdb-vla-intel-logical-not.patch - Update for GDB 7.8.1 * removed (already in upstream): gdb-babeltrace-configure.patch gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-2of2.patch * amended (partially in upstream): gdb-archer.patch gdb-attach-fail-reasons-5of5.patch gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-1of2.patch gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-testsuite.patch - Added gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-1of2.patch, gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-2of2.patch and gdb-async-stopped-on-pid-arg-testsuite.patch to resolve https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=17347 - Enable running the testsuite and store results in a gdb-testresults package. - Add gdb-rpmlintrc to filter errors about the buildroot mentioned in testresult logs. - Use patchlist.pl to merge with gdb-7.8-16.fc22, a rebase to FSF GDB 7.8. The GDB 7.8 features are: * Guile scripting support. * Python scripting enhancements. * New commands: * * guile * * guile-repl * * info auto-load guile-scripts [REGEXP] * New options: * * maint ada set ignore-descriptive-types (on|off) * * maint set target-async (on|off) * * set|show auto-load guile-scripts (on|off) * * set|show auto-connect-native-target * * set|show guile print-stack (none|message|full) * * set|show mi-async (on|off) * * set|show print symbol-loading (off|brief|full) * * set|show record btrace replay-memory-access (read-only|read-write) * Remote Protocol: * * The qXfer:btrace:read packet supports a new annex 'delta'. * GDB/MI: * * A new option "-gdb-set mi-async" replaces "-gdb-set target-async". * New target configurations: * * PowerPC64 GNU/Linux little-endian * btrace enhancements: * * The btrace record target now supports the 'record goto' command. * * The btrace record target supports limited reverse execution and replay. * ISO C99 variable length automatic arrays support. * It is no longer required to "set target-async on" in order to use background execution commands (e.g., "c&", "s&", etc.). * "catch syscall" now implemented on s390*-linux* targets. * The "compare-sections" command now works on all targets. * The "target native" command now connects to the native target, and can be used to launch native programs, even if "set auto-connect-native-target" is set to off. * More robust backtraces. Thus it is enough to only remove that condition - The -devel subpackage requires Mesa-devel, not only at build time - Fixed compilation on SLE_11_SP3 by making it build against Mesa-devel on that system - Replace patch l-qclipboard_fix_recursive.patch with qtcore-4.8.5-qeventdispatcher-recursive.patch. The later one seems to work better and really resolves the issue in LibreOffice - Added fix_qrasterpixmapdata_bnc847880.diff (bnc#847880). When extracting a region of a QRasterPixmapData an optimization was using the wrong bit depth for some calculations thus copying a different section of the image than requested. This breaks specially the oxygen kde theme under qemu when using a cirrus driver. - Removed workaround for bnc#847880 which is no longer needed. - Added workaround for bnc#847880: if Cirrus graphics are detected, export QT_GRAPHICSSYSTEM as native - Added kde4_qt_plugin_path.patch, so kde4 plugins are magically found/known outside kde4 enviroment/session - added _constraints. building took up to 7GB of disk space on s390x, and more than 6GB on x86_64 - Add 3 patches for Qt bugs to make LibreOffice KDE4 file picker work properly again: * Add glib-honor-ExcludeSocketNotifiers-flag.diff (QTBUG-37380) * Add l-qclipboard_fix_recursive.patch (QTBUG-34614) * Add l-qclipboard_delay.patch (QTBUG-38585) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated libvirt (security/bugfix/feature) - Update to libvirt 1.2.18 - libxl: support dom0 - Many incremental improvements and bug fixes, see http://libvirt.org/news.html - Dropped upstream patches: 45697fe5-libxl-support-dom0.patch, e9c27344-libxl-fix-virDomainObj-state.patch, 4ffb21c8-libxl-dom0-state-fix.patch, e44bcae-virt-aa-helper-trailing-slash.patch, a55a5e7-virt-aa-helper-log.patch, 61dab0f-virt-aa-helper-renaming.patch, 24f3c2f-virt-aa-helper-fix-caps.patch, 8dd8df6-qemu-cleanup-fix.patch, 4749fec-nbd-wait.patch - FATE#314466, FATE#314497, FATE#315157, FATE#318383 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated libyui-ncurses (security/bugfix/feature) - don't calculate height of an invisible widget (menu button) to prevent segfault (bnc#931154) - 2.47.2 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated libyui-qt-pkg (security/bugfix/feature) - Handle mixed multiversion packages (fate#318778) - Fixed libzypp deprecated warning - 2.45.1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated libzypp-bindings (security/bugfix/feature) - Adapt to libzypp changes due to FATE#318778 - 0.7.3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated libzypp (security/bugfix/feature) - Support caching of service metadata. - Rebase don-t-mark-libpng-as-required-library.patch, bugzilla-308961-cmex-workaround.patch, freetype2-subpixel.patch, freetype2-bitmap-foundry.patch and overflow.patch - Add freetype2-2.5.3-fix-pcf.patch from upstream to resolve http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?43774, "Freetype 2.5.4 does not load ungzipped PCF fonts" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated ft2demos (security/bugfix/feature) - Merge with the version 2.5.5 from openSUSE:Factory - Removed patches: * CVE-2014-9656.patch * CVE-2014-9657.patch * CVE-2014-9658.patch * CVE-2014-9659.patch * CVE-2014-9660.patch * CVE-2014-9661.patch * CVE-2014-9662.patch * CVE-2014-9663.patch * CVE-2014-9664.patch * CVE-2014-9665.patch * CVE-2014-9666.patch * CVE-2014-9667.patch * CVE-2014-9668.patch * CVE-2014-9669.patch * CVE-2014-9670.patch * CVE-2014-9671.patch * CVE-2014-9672.patch * CVE-2014-9673.patch * CVE-2014-9674.patch * CVE-2014-9675.patch - Integrated in the 2.5.5 release - Modified patches: * don-t-mark-libpng-as-required-library.patch * bugzilla-308961-cmex-workaround.patch * freetype2-subpixel.patch * freetype2-bitmap-foundry.patch * overflow.patch - Adapt to the new version of sources - Modified patch: * CVE-2014-9671.patch - Adapt the code to correspond to the current git master of freetype2 (fixes bsc#933247) - Run spec-cleaner on the spec file. - Update to version 2.5.5 * IMPORTANT BUG FIXES - Handling of uncompressed PCF files works again (bug introduced in version 2.5.4). - Drop freetype2-2.5.3-fix-pcf.patch, merged upstream - Update to version 2.5.4 * IMPORTANT BUG FIXES - A variant of vulnerability CVE-2014-2240 was identified (cf. http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?43661) and fixed in the new CFF driver. The interface is now also included in the build by default, without requiring the SQLITE_ENABLE_COLUMN_METADATA compile- time option. * Added the SQLITE_ENABLE_API_ARMOR compile-time option. * Added the SQLITE_REVERSE_UNORDERED_SELECTS compile-time option. * Added the SQLITE_SORTER_PMASZ compile-time option and SQLITE_CONFIG_PMASZ start-time option. * Added the SQLITE_CONFIG_PCACHE_HDRSZ option to sqlite3_config() * The number of rows in a VALUES clause is no longer limited by SQLITE_LIMIT_COMPOUND_SELECT. * Added the eval.c loadable extension that implements an eval() SQL function that will recursively evaluate SQL. - Performance Enhancements: * Reduce the number of memcpy() operations involved in balancing a b-tree, for 3.2% overall performance boost. * Improvements to cost estimates for the skip-scan optimization. * The automatic indexing optimization is now capable of generating a partial index if that is appropriate. - Bug fixes: * Ensure durability following a power loss with "PRAGMA journal_mode=TRUNCATE" by calling fsync() right after truncating the journal file. * The query planner now recognizes that any column in the right- hand table of a LEFT JOIN can be NULL, even if that column has a NOT NULL constraint. Avoid trying to optimize out NULL tests in those cases. * Make sure ORDER BY puts rows in ascending order even if the DISTINCT operator is implemented using a descending index. * Fix data races that might occur under stress when running with many threads in shared cache mode where some of the threads are opening and closing connections. * Fix obscure crash bugs found by american fuzzy lop. - Other changes: * Disable the use of the strchrnul() C-library routine unless it is specifically enabled using the -DHAVE_STRCHRNULL compile- time option. * Improvements to the effectiveness and accuracy of the likelihood(), likely(), and unlikely() SQL hint functions. - SQLite 3.8.7.4: * Bug fix: Add in a mutex that was omitted from the previous release. - SQLite 3.8.7.3: * Ensure the cached KeyInfo objects (an internal abstraction not visible to the application) do not go stale when operating in shared cache mode and frequently closing and reopening some database connections while leaving other database connections on the same shared cache open continuously. * Recognize that any column in the right-hand table of a LEFT JOIN can be NULL even if the column has a NOT NULL constraint. Do not apply optimizations that assume the column is never NULL. - SQLite 3.8.7.2: * Enhance the ROLLBACK command so that pending queries are allowed to continue as long as the schema is unchanged. * Bug fix: Make sure that NULL results from OP_Column are fully and completely NULL and do not have the MEM_Ephem bit set. * Bug fix: The %c format in sqlite3_mprintf() is able to handle precisions greater than 70. * Bug fix: Do not automatically remove the DISTINCT keyword from a SELECT that forms the right-hand side of an IN operator since it is necessary if the SELECT also contains a LIMIT. - SQLite 3.8.7.1: * In PRAGMA journal_mode=TRUNCATE mode, call fsync() immediately after truncating the journal file to ensure that the transaction is durable across a power loss. * Fix an assertion fault that can occur when updating the NULL value of a field at the end of a table that was added using ALTER TABLE ADD COLUMN. * Do not attempt to use the strchrnul() function from the standard C library unless the HAVE_STRCHRNULL compile-time option is set. * Fix a couple of problems associated with running an UPDATE or DELETE on a VIEW with a rowid in the WHERE clause. - SQLite 3.8.7 - Performance Enhancements: * Many micro-optimizations result in 20.3% more work for the same number of CPU cycles relative to the previous release. * The sorter can use auxiliary helper threads to increase real- time response. This feature is off by default and may be enabled using the PRAGMA threads command or the SQLITE_DEFAULT_WORKER_THREADS compile-time option. * Enhance the skip-scan optimization so that it is able to skip index terms that occur in the middle of the index, not just as the left-hand side of the index. * Improved optimization of CAST operators. * Various improvements in how the query planner uses sqlite_stat4 information to estimate plan costs. - New Features: * Added new interfaces with 64-bit length parameters: sqlite3_malloc64() sqlite3_realloc64() sqlite3_bind_blob64() sqlite3_result_blob64() sqlite3_bind_text64() sqlite3_result_text64() * Added the new interface sqlite3_msize() that returns the size of a memory allocation obtained from sqlite3_malloc64() and its variants. * Added the SQLITE_LIMIT_WORKER_THREADS option to sqlite3_limit() and PRAGMA threads command for configuring the number of available worker threads. * The spellfix1 extension allows the application to optionally specify the rowid for each INSERT. Added the User Authentication extension. - Bug Fixes: * Fix a bug in the partial index implementation that might result in an incorrect answer if a partial index is used in a subquery or in a view. * Fix a query planner bug that might cause a table to be scanned in the wrong direction (thus reversing the order of output) when a DESC index is used to implement the ORDER BY clause on a query that has an identical GROUP BY clause. * Fix a bug in sqlite3_trace() that was causing it to sometimes fail to print an SQL statement if that statement needed to be re-prepared. * Fix a faulty assert() statement. - Test, Debug, and Analysis Changes: * Show ASCII-art abstract syntax tree diagrams using the ".selecttrace" and ".wheretrace" commands in the command-line shell when compiled with SQLITE_DEBUG, SQLITE_ENABLE_SELECTTRACE, and SQLITE_ENABLE_WHERETRACE. Also provide the sqlite3TreeViewExpr() and sqlite3TreeViewSelect() entry points that can be invoked from with the debugger to show the parse tree when stopped at a breakpoint. * Drop support for SQLITE_ENABLE_TREE_EXPLAIN. The SELECTTRACE mechanism provides more useful diagnostics information. * New options to the command-line shell for configuring auxiliary memory usage: --pagecache, --lookaside, and --scratch. - SQLite 3.8.6 * Added support for hexadecimal integer literals in the SQL parser. (Ex: 0x123abc) * Enhanced the PRAGMA integrity_check command to detect UNIQUE and NOT NULL constraint violations. * Increase the maximum value of SQLITE_MAX_ATTACHED from 62 to 125. * Increase the timeout in WAL mode before issuing an SQLITE_PROTOCOL error from 1 second to 10 seconds. * Added the likely(X) SQL function. * The unicode61 tokenizer is now included in FTS4 by default. * Trigger automatic reprepares on all prepared statements when ANALYZE is run. * Added a new loadable extension source code file to the source tree: fileio.c * Add extension functions readfile(X) and writefile(X,Y) (using code copy/pasted from fileio.c in the previous bullet) to the command-line shell. * Added the .fullschema dot-command to the command-line shell. * performance enhancements * bug fixes - SQlite 3.8.5 - New and improved: * Added support for partial sorting by index. * Enhance the query planner so that it always prefers an index that uses a superset of WHERE clause terms relative to some other index. * Improvements to the automerge command of FTS4 to better control the index size for a full-text index that is subject to a large number of updates. * Added the sqlite3_rtree_query_callback() interface to R-Tree extension * Added new URI query parameters "nolock" and "immutable". * Use less memory by not remembering CHECK constraints on read-only database connections. * Enable the OR optimization for WITHOUT ROWID tables. * Render expressions of the form "x IN (?)" (with a single value in the list on the right-hand side of the IN operator) as if they where "x==?", Similarly optimize "x NOT IN (?)" * Add the ".system" and ".once" commands to the command-line shell * Added the SQLITE_IOCAP_IMMUTABLE bit to the set of bits that can be returned by the xDeviceCharacteristics method of a VFS. * Added the SQLITE_TESTCTRL_BYTEORDER test control. - Bug Fixes: * OFFSET clause ignored on queries without a FROM clause. * Assertion fault on queries involving expressions of the form "x IN (?)". * Incorrect column datatype reported. * Duplicate row returned on a query against a table with more than 16 indices, each on a separate column, and all used via OR- connected constraints. * Partial index causes assertion fault on UPDATE OR REPLACE. * Crash when calling undocumented SQL function sqlite_rename_parent() with NULL parameters. * ORDER BY ignored if the query has an identical GROUP BY. * The group_concat(x,'') SQL function returns NULL instead of an empty string when all inputs are empty strings. * Fix a bug in the VDBE code generator that caused crashes when doing an INSERT INTO ... SELECT statement where the number of columns being inserted is larger than the number of columns in the destination table. * Fix a problem in CSV import in the command-line shell where if the leftmost field of the first row in the CSV file was both zero bytes in size and unquoted no data would be imported. * Fix a problem in FTS4 where the left-most column that contained the notindexed column name as a prefix was not indexed rather than the column whose name matched exactly. * Fix the sqlite3_db_readonly() interface so that it returns true if the database is read-only due to the file format write version number being too large. - Build SQLite with the unlock_notify API, which is now required for the akonadi QSQLITE3 driver. "-DSQLITE_ENABLE_UNLOCK_NOTIFY" - SQLite 3.8.4.3: - fix for a problem that might cause incorrect query results on a query that mixes DISTINCT, GROUP BY in a subquery, and ORDER BY - Fix obsolete-not-provided warning on sqlite-64bit for ppc64 - SQLite 3.8.4.2: * Fix a potential buffer overread that could result when trying to search a corrupt database file. - fix duplicate file warning on current.html on -doc package - SQLite 3.8.4.1: * When computing the cost of the skip-scan optimization, take into account the fact that multiple seeks are required. - SQLite 3.8.4 - general changes: * Code optimization and refactoring for improved performance. * Add the ".clone" and ".save" commands to the command-line shell. * Update the banner on the command-line shell to alert novice users when they are using an ephemeral in-memory database. * Fix editline support in the command-line shell. * Add support for coverage testing of VDBE programs using the SQLITE_TESTCTRL_VDBE_COVERAGE verb of sqlite3_test_control(). * Update the _FILE_OFFSET_BITS macro so that builds work again on QNX. * Change the datatype of SrcList.nSrc from type u8 to type int to work around an issue in the C compiler on AIX. - bug fixes: * Bug fix: Fix the char() SQL function so that it returns an empty string rather than an "out of memory" error when called with zero arguments. * Bug fix: DISTINCT now recognizes that a zeroblob and a blob of all 0x00 bytes are the same thing. * Bug fix: Compute the correct answer for queries that contain an IS NOT NULL term in the WHERE clause and also contain an OR term in the WHERE clause and are compiled with SQLITE_ENABLE_STAT4. * Bug fix: Make sure "rowid" columns are correctly resolved in joins between normal tables and WITHOUT ROWID tables. * Bug fix: Make sure the same temporary registers are not used in concurrent co-routines used to implement compound SELECT statements containing ORDER BY clauses, as such use can lead to incorrect answers. * Bug fix: Ensure that "ORDER BY random()" clauses do not get optimized out. * Bug fix: Repair a name-resolution error that can occur in sub-select statements contained within a TRIGGER. * Bug fix: Fix column default values expressions of the form "DEFAULT(-(-9223372036854775808))" so that they work correctly, initializing the column to a floating point value approximately equal to +9223372036854775808.0. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- o Updated sssd (security/bugfix/feature) - Let the main package obsolute/provide libsss_sudo package, because sudo capability is an integral component in SSSD daemon. I replaced a Beta 1 installation on a DELL PowerEdge R730 with a Beta 2 installation. I removed the default partitions and created one big ext4 partition for it. This works fine. During the installation I lost again the LWL links. Again I needed to set them up to put the laser on. ifconfig em1 up ifconfig em2 up When this once is done and the interfaces are configured at the next boots the links came up alone and the network interfaces are working. I think it would be nice that the installation program put up the links before the network configuration could be done during the installation if this is possible. -- Gerd Pokorra
