Engineering Trainee Program

Hello All,

First, I would like to wish all of you a happy new year. The start of 
this year is extra special at SUSE because we’re happy to be launching 
the SUSE Engineering Trainee Program!

# What does the Engineering Trainee Program offer students?

- A standard employment contract at a compensation of ~300 CZK/hour 
15-20 hours a week. We care about enabling you to be academically 
successful.

- A great opportunity to find what you enjoy doing! Try your hand in 
various Software Engineering roles, you’ll find your hidden superpowers.
Open source is in our DNA. Your contributions will build on some of the 
greatest open source projects out there. You can point to your public 
contributions and say: hello world, I did that!

# Who are we looking for?

- You should be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree, 
enrolled in a Master’s program or PhD. program. We can make exceptions, 
ask if unsure. C, C++, Go, Python, Ruby, Perl and more!

- Most of our interest is in Linux and Containers, so you should have 
background knowledge of these technologies.

- Git is crucial to how we work. Some experience with git will be 
important. Contributions to open source software are a plus!
