SLE-15-Installer-RC2/x86_64/DVD1/x86_64/kernel-default-4.12.14-15.5.x86_64.rpm
SLE-15-Installer-RC3/x86_64/DVD1/x86_64/kernel-default-4.12.14-16.2.x86_64.rpm


So RC3 had the newer kernel.
My suspicion is that you installed the updates for RC2, and there the
_buildcounter_ seemed to be lower than the one for RC3.
You can safely ignore it and install the RC3 kernel, which is newer.
