[sle-beta] [ANNOUNCE] SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 Service Pack 5 GM and FCS!

[SUSE Beta Program]

We are happy to announce that after the final validation and
acceptance phase we have INTERNAL Gold Master for SUSE Linux
Enterprise 12 Service Pack 5:

- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES),
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP (SLES for SAP),
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Just Enough Operating System (JeOS),
- SUSE Linux Enterprise High Availability (SLEHA and SLEHA GEO),
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Workstation Extension (SLEWE),
- SUSE Linux Enterprise for High Performance Computing (SLEHPC).
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit (SLE SDK),

Gold Master and FCS date

Gold Master ISOs are identical to Gold Master Candidate 2 ISOs but the
SLE Beta Program will not provide the GM ISOs!

The official and final release (First Customer Shipment date) of SLE
12 SP5 is scheduled for December 9th 2019.

Keep in mind that all images provided (including GMC) as part of the SLE
Beta Program are bond to the SUSE Beta EULA[1], and should not be use in a
commercial or production system nor considered supported. Updating
from Beta to GM is also not supported!

Any issues reported on previous beta milestones which do not have a fix
included in GMC or issues reported directly on GMC will be considered
to be fixed by Maintenance Updates.

And of course we already have some Maintenance Updates waiting to be
released on the day of the FCS. Therefore please make sure that you
apply them when installing and using SLE 12 SP5 GM.

SLE 15 SP2 is coming!

We will close the SLE 12 SP5 Beta Program around the FCS date, which
still give you time to report and discuss before the official release
of SLE 12 SP5 GM.

That being said, SLE 15 SP2 Beta Program is coming soon! It is scheduled
to start in Early February 2020!

Please stay tuned! We will provide more information soon, and we are
pretty excited about some changes for our SLE Products but also to the
Public Beta Program itself!
