The beta registration code has expired on October 31th as scheduled, so it is not possible to access the Online Channels anymore. The communicated FCS date for SLE 12 SP5 the SLE Beta page is still early December 2019, which mean that we are already in the FCS preparation phase. This phase is critical and comes with constraint on our side, especially in time like this where a critical severity issue as been disclosed days before. We are now really focused on release preparation and maintenance updates to be available at the FCS date. I'm assuming this might just be a timing issue, but while I started downloads for DVD1 for Server and SDK, the WE DVD1 iso gives: === We're sorry, we are unable to complete the download at this time. The token you're using to access this download has expired. If any file is currently still in the process of being downloaded, please try again later. Otherwise, you can generate a new token by refreshing the download page for this build, then try the download again. InvalidToken === I'll give it a shot again in a couple hours and see if it is just timing. I'm running this on VMware Workstation 15.5.1 Putting the server and SDK iso's onto virtual CD's and on-line when connected.. IPL and select UPDATE did it's chatter and then said no SCC pick local or skip, I have no local so skip. Some chatter that you will have to register some time.. The UPDATE did seem to run well, no issues that I noted. On the re-ipl this ran into emergency mode. I looked at the journal and the vm-tools looked unhappy. So restore the image from the VMware snapshot and ran a ipl Machine up at SLES12 SP-5 GMC The GMC2 iso were still n the CD's I asked Yast2 to have a try This also was happy with a "skip" at registration and finished the update. This time a re-ipl ran Okay, It's not saying GMC2 any place I can see, but a cat /proc/version is giving a kernel 4.12.4-119 and I had 4.12.4-115 before. So what next. If I run an UPDATE it seems to run Okay but issues on the re-ipl. Using Yast I can re-ipl but you get nags if you use Yast, same think if you use zypper .... I'll watch P3 of the F1 in Brazil and think about it. Anyone with thoughts please let me have them... __R ________________________________ From: Waite, Dick (External) Sent: 16 November 2019 09:57:35 To: Vincent Moutoussamy; sle-beta at lists.suse.com Cc: SUSE Beta Program Subject: Re: [sle-beta] [Beta-programs] [ANNOUNCE] INTERNAL SLE 12 SP5 Product Family GMC2 Grand Saturday Vincent, Downloading a x86_64 ISO at the moment which looks Okay. I guess you wanted to use the SLE12 Modules right? The situation is really linked to the SLE12SP5 end of beta program. As you might have seen in the changelog nothing changed in modules for GMC2, so their states are similar to GMC. As a reminder we highly recommend to mirror our Beta Online Channels with a RMT server for two main reasons: 1- This allow you to test the registration of a SLE12SP5 system with RMT and accessing the Online Channels, 2- Mirroring the Beta Online Channels allow you to ?freeze? for your convenience, like if really needed keep using the BetaX version of the channels even if we have move on to BetaX+1 version.
