Zypper supports excluding docs during installs (updates?). From /etc/zypp/zypp.conf:

## Options for package installation: excludedocs
##
## Don't install any files which are marked as documentation.
##
## Valid values: boolean
## Default value: no
##
# rpm.install.excludedocs = no

If you set this to rpm.install.excludedocs = yes then you cannot install libtasn1

( 67/322) Installing: libtasn1-4.9-3.10.1.x86_64 [......error]
Installation of libtasn1-4.9-3.10.1.x86_64 failed:
Error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: /usr/share/info/dir: could not read (No such file or directory) and could not create (No such file or directory)
error: %preun(libtasn1-4.9-3.5.1.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: libtasn1-4.9-3.5.1.x86_64: erase failed

Abort, retry, ignore? [a/r/i] (a): a

This is the first SLES package that I have found with this bug.
