I have a requirement to install SLES 11 SP4 on the production server and register the machine , Please let me know if I would require to purchase LTSS for SLES11 SP4 and how much it would cost me ? 2. If I purchase the LTSS , will I be provided access to its packages ? Exercise caution before clicking links or opening attachments * Hi Andreas, sure. LTSS = Long Term Service request Support Further information can be found here: https://www.suse.com/products/long-term-service-pack-support/ That is an extension you have to purchase per Server/Service Pack. The latest patches will then be provided via a special LTSS repository. "Not supported" means that you will only receive very limited SUSE Customer Support assistance with any issues on servers running expired products, you will not receive any patches, the documentation will be locked, etc. https://www.suse.com/support/kb/doc/?id=000019588 has more information. Best practices for maintaining a fully supported SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLES) system | Support | SUSE Best practices for maintaining a fully supported SUSE Linux Enterprise (SLES) system. This document (000019588) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.. Environment www.suse.com ^^ it should be mentioned that LTSS is only valid for already existing production systems but it is not available for new installations. As for the downloading packages question. You can find everything you need either here https://download.suse.com/ or here libcurl-devel is part of the SUSE Linux Enterprise Software Development Kit 11-SP4 - hence you need to pick that: [cid:image001.jpg at 01D623C0.ACB11DF0] Hope this helps. But as a side not, me being part of the SUSE Customer Support organization, the best way to address these questions would be to open a Support case with us and our engineers would then be happy to assist. Message-ID: <5ebe9a7c47c5_2f8d3fe07ac3644c521c3@Macbouille.local.mail> In the past few days we have found, in our internal milestones, new issues preventing booting on some specific scenarios, thus we had to restart the building cycle to integrate the needed fixes. Which means that we also had to restart our manual and automatic testing before being able to release Public Release Candidate 2. This is of course causing a delay and we plan to be able to release Public RC 2 in early next week. Just for your information, in case like this we don't have to rebuild our entire distribution (thousands of packages) but we can only rebuild a subset, in this case, around 60 packages had to be rebuild, including the kernel. Since the kernel is a very particular package (to say the least) it took a little over 10 hours for the rebuild and the generation of new ISOs and Images for all architectures to be finished. But now we need to give time to our QA teams to redo their complete manual and automatic tests cycle before officially approving our internal milestones as Public RC2 and starting the uploading process. We are sorry for the inconvenience and will keep you in touch as soon as we have an update. Contact If you have _ANY_ concerns, doubts, inquiry, etc please contact beta-programs at lists.suse.com. Message-ID: <5ec3fc3665e08_b5103ff14983645c29f1@Macbouille.local.mail> Public Release Candidate 2 for SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 Service Pack 2 is finally available. NEW Download page The former https://download.suse.com has now been replaced by https://www.suse.com/download/. You can find SLE 15 SP2 Beta Full and Online ISOs Media1 and Media2 + JeOS and Vagrant images directly from https://www.suse.com/download/sles. Thanks to the Unified Installer introduced with SLE 15, you only need a SLE 15 SP2 Full or Online Media1 ISO to install all SLE products (SLES, SLED, SLEWE, SLEHA, SLEHPC, SLES for SAP and SUSE Manager). Media1, Media2 and Media3 As a reminder Media1 contains the binaries (usual installation ISO), Media2 contains the sources and Media3 which contained debuginfo packages is _not_ provided as ISOs images anymore but still available as Online Channel. Thus we are kindly asking you to request a Beta Registration Code[1] and register your system to retrieve any needed debuginfo packages. Known issues Please note that SLE 15 SP2 Beta is, as of now, only available in the english version of suse.com/download! and only under the SLES product. This is a known issue and we are working on a fix, please change your Language setting to English in the meantime. It does not tell us which program (e.g. md5sum, sha1sum, sha256sum, sha512sum, ? ) should be used after we download to verify our image has not been corrupted. Having trouble viewing this email? Please check the plain text version of it with your mailer [http://beta.suse.com/private/SLE12/suse_logo_color-reduced.png] [https://www.suse.com/betaprogram/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/SLE15SP2-Beta.jpg] Public Release Candidate 2 for SUSE Linux Enterprise 15 Service Pack 2 is finally available. Thus we are kindly asking you to request a Beta Registration Code and register your system to retrieve any needed debuginfo packages. Known issues Please note that SLE 15 SP2 Beta is, as of now, only available in the english version of suse.com/download! and only under the SLES product. This is a known issue and we are working on a fix, please change your Language setting to English in the meantime. We are sorry for the inconvenience, please contact us at beta-programs at lists.suse.com if you have any issues! I?ll send you a beta registration code. It is not absolutely required to have a SLES 15SP2 to download 15SP2 packages, you could use any SMT or SUSE Manager. I thought the suse.com/download issue was fixed but it seems that we still have some hiccups? I will setup a workaround on beta.suse.com and share the link here ASAP.
