From gianluca.cecchi at intel.com Wed Apr 3 11:56:25 2024 From: gianluca.cecchi at intel.com (Cecchi, Gianluca) Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2024 11:56:25 +0000 Subject: Passing from SP6 beta to RC1 (dedicated to partners and then the public ones) Message-ID: Hello, I had a system with SLES 15 SP5 where I applied SP6 beta. Questions: . I know that for testing purposes is not optimal, but how to pass from SP6 beta to partner RC, and public RC when available? Do I have to use the existing registration code or what? . do I need to request the beta registration code multiple times or can I reuse the first one for another system? My current situation is the one below with SP6 beta and with error on SP5 repo (donna if expected or not...). How to fix it? Currently both migration and update options for zipper command give nothing Current packages, related to kernel and virtualization, on the system are these ones: kernel-default-6.4.0-150600.9.6.x86_64 libvirt-*-10.0.0-150600.3.3.x86_64 qemu-*-8.2.1-150600.3.6.x86_64 I would like to test the updates provided # suseconnect --status-text Installed Products: ------------------------------------------ SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6 (SLES/15.6/x86_64) Registered Subscription: Name: SLES 15 SP6 x86_64 Beta Test Subscription Regcode: Starts at: 2023-11-10 00:00:00 UTC Expires at: 2024-07-10 00:00:00 UTC Status: ACTIVE Type: test ------------------------------------------ Python 3 Module (sle-module-python3/15.6/x86_64) Registered ------------------------------------------ Server Applications Module (sle-module-server-applications/15.6/x86_64) Registered ------------------------------------------ Basesystem Module (sle-module-basesystem/15.6/x86_64) Registered ------------------------------------------ # # zypper info Refreshing service 'Basesystem_Module_15_SP6_x86_64'. I tried the command within a script: echo $rabbit_random_password | rabbitmqctl add_user which then prompts for the password instead of using it from the pipe Then I tried the command: rabbitmqctl add_user it also prompts (this time correct) for the password. But it does not accept any passwords typed and remains frozen! Therefore the rabbitmq server is not useable with RC1 as the user configuration is broken... This was not the case in the SLE15SP6 Public Beta version. Could you please check and verify this issue and reply your findings?
