  * jsc#PED-14507
  * jsc#PED-15819

Affected Products:

  * SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 16.0
  * SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for SAP applications 16.0

An update that contains two features can now be installed.

## Description:

This update for ibus-anthy, ibus-cangjie, ibus-skk, mozc, presage fixes the
following issues:

Changes in ibus-anthy,ibus-cangjie,ibus-skk,mozc,presage:

  * Update the package .spec file to get rid of update-desktop-files:
    * It often duplicates upstream translation effort, wasting a human work, both community translators and contracted ones.
    * Most of these translations are ~20 years old, and they were never reviewed, so it is possible that they are worse than the upstream ones. Also Desktop Categories specification was updated, and the upstream specification now covers all aspects of former X-SuSE-* Categories extensions.
    * As a result, the SUSE desktop menu experience differs from other vendors. Applications have a different name, different translations, different placement in the structured menu etc.
    * Upstream translations have a wider impact.
    * Package maintainers have only a limited control over the contents visible to users. It is imported during the runtime, and the visible contents could be different from the contents in the package.
    * update-desktop-files is a complicated tool. It attempts to fix deprecated and obsolete stuff in the desktop files without even informing the developer that something was wrong and something was modified.
    * It uses a very complicated toolchain that requires access to SUSE intranet and access to OpenQA VPN. The complete toolchain setup was never published, so it has even problems with Open Source ideas.
    * It mixes SUSE-unique translations with translations that just duplicate the upstream translation effort. As a result it significantly increases number of strings to translate and decreases the quality of the translation (jsc#PED-14507).

Changes in ibus-cangjie:

  * Update to 2.5:
    * ibus-cangjie will now display the code to type when entering a wildcard in the code. Contribution from 2017 by NCHL on github.
    * The code is now type checked, to avoid future mistakes.
    * Wrote some contribution guidelines.
    * Added/improved the zh_HK translations.
    * Added a new zh_CN translation.
    * Added an about dialog to show support information.
    * The minimum meson version is now 1.3.2, which is in Ubuntu LTS 24.04.
    * Improved the restart procedure.
    * Used the prefered / operator instead of the deprecated join_paths function in the meson buildsystem files.
    * Improved the unit testing.
    * ibus-cangjie is now properly installed into libexec dir, as requested by our Debian friends.
    * Code is now passed through a linter, eiter manually or in the CI.
    * Added a passthrough mode with a simple shortcut to access.
    * Properly display the translated name of the input method in input method selection dialog.
  * Modify ibus-cangjie.spec: To fit ibus-cangjie transfer the build script to
    meson and ninja.
  * Upstream has merged 6b46d4c6, means 2.5 edition already have this
    modification.
  * Factory could build ibus-cangjie 2.5 edition successfully, and 2.5 edition
    no-longer have "py-compile", So don't need this patch after the update.

Changes in mozc:

  * Update mozc.spec:
    * Adjust %suse_version judgement to fit %suse_version bump. (jsc#PED-15819)
  * Drop _multibuild for Fcitx4;
    * Fcitx4 is dropped from Tumbleweed, so drop the build of fcitx-mozc sub-package as well.
    * If you need fcitx4-mozc package, link the package, and revive _multibuild there.
  * Add Provides/Obsoletes for fcitx-mozc for Tumbleweed
  * Update mozc.spec to get rid of update-desktop-files:
    * It often duplicates upstream translation effort, wasting a human work, both community translators and contracted ones.
    * Most of these translations are ~20 years old, and they were never reviewed, so it is possible that they are worse than the upstream ones.
    * As a result, the SUSE desktop menu experience differs from other vendors. Applications have a different name, different translations, different placement in the structured menu etc.

    * Package maintainers have only a limited control over the contents visible to users.

    * It uses a very complicated toolchain that requires access to SUSE intranet and access to OpenQA VPN.
    * It mixes SUSE-unique translations with translations that just duplicate the upstream translation effort. (jsc#PED-14507)
  * Fix build error with bazel 8.4.1:
    * Move files from Bazel Central Registry to bcr.tar and use a local bazel registry
