Only to remind everybody: this list is about SLES, not SLED.
And SLES has vsftpd.

For SLED, you need to discuss this on the sled-beta mailing list,
or you will not reach out to the right people/you will not get an
answer from them.
I cannot say anything about why the SLED people include/not include
packages on their product.
