Hi all,

I was just working on the autoyast file for mass installations of
different servers using a single file and removing all options not
needed and to be replaced by autoyast with the default settings...

I found a xml tag which reads

<keep_installation_network>

which I assume to keep the network configuration. But which
configuration is addressed with this tag? The network which was used for
installation of the OS over the network?

I remember a discussion on one of the SUSE Expert Forums, where
information about a popup window was given, which should be ask for the
final network configuration to be manually entered in order to remove
the need of a dedicated network config after install finished.

If not using austoyast for installation, there is a possibility for
network setup for registration. Is this functionality planned for a
later beta, or did I miss the removal of the feature? As for me, this
feature would be very very good, as the need for an additional reboot
would be eliminated and I suppose, that it also would be possible to set
a default network setting which is to be overwritten by the manual input...

Please advise about this issue
