Hi,

independently of the RAID question, that size does not sound like it
is used for the / file system but for some partition that holds data
of some sort.

The recommendation for data partitions is to use XFS, not Btrfs, so
maybe Btrfs is not the perfect choice anyway, RAID or no RAID.
