- Hardware RAID: yes.

- Software RAID using "MD RAID": yes.

- We do not (yet) support using RAID 5 with btrfs'

  kernel module on SUSE Linux Enterprise 12 does
  not show this option even, .... This will need 
  some time to mature.

That's true as well. Except for specific use cases
(such as using a Samba Fileserver with snapshots
(Windows versioning) via the btrfs backend) we
recommend xfs as the filesystem for data.
